The Urban Forest Management Plan gives Fremont citizens a foundation for how the City can build upon managing its urban forest proactively and effectively. Over the last two years, more than 75,000 trees have been mapped and added to an online tree inventory, an Urban Tree Canopy Assessment was completed, three public surveys were conducted, and public meetings were held to inform and gather community input for the plan. View a draft of the Urban Forest Management Plan.
The Tree Advisory Working Group will be meeting at the Recreation Commission Meeting Wednesday, February 15 at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Ave. We’ll be discussing the Urban Forest Management Plan and the Working Group will be taking public comments.
