2022 Citizens’ Climate Lobby Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference: Charting Our Course for a Livable Future
Join us in February for engaging discussions with CCL staff and volunteers, regional thought leaders, and representatives of allied organizations in our region on what it means to chart our course for a livable future.
Join the opening session here: http://cclusa.org/MARC
We’ll launch the conference with online plenary sessions to discuss what it means to chart our course for a livable future with Tykee James (Audubon, Black Birders Week, and Amplify the Future), Wandra Ashley-Williams (Maryland Regional Director for Climate XChange), Sevim Kalyoncu (Executive Director, Green Muslims), and Jack Thompson (President, Fridays For Future DE, and Policy Advisor, Fridays For Future USA & International), and end the first day with a legislative update from CCL's Vice President for Government Affairs, Dr. Danny Richter.
In between plenaries, attend online breakouts featuring inspirational stories about how to nurture relationships with local leaders, businesses, farmers, labor unions (including AFT, NEA, and AFGE) and diverse communities to chart our common future. We’ll also demonstrate how to use tools such as social media and the En-ROADS climate solutions simulator to engage others in our region. Resilience circles (Line 4) will create small groups in which participants share the powerful emotions that climate work can generate.
