MO St Louis Chapter

We started our chapter, the first in MO, in December 2009. Our founder, Marshall Saunders, participated in our 'Group Start Workshop' and played the role of Senator Kit Bond in the mock lobby meeting. The workshop was led by Mark Reynolds, our first Executive Director. There were a dozen prospective members there. All of them joined the new group, and Sabrina Hilton took on being our first group leader.

Someone from our chapter has participated in virtually every DC lobby day since then. Our representative in DC for the first district was Rep Lacey Clay and, more recently, Congresswoman Cori Bush. Rep Clay met with us himself whenever he could. He co-sponsored the Carbon Fee and Dividend bill when it was first introduced.

We have connected with Congresswoman Cori's staff in lobby meetings and have met her in person for brief conversations when she spoke at the St Louis Earth Day celebration in 2023, again that year at a SLACO conference and in April 2024 virtually at a candidates' forum.
