CCL Community is a place where CCL supporters can learn, take action and collaborate with their local CCL chapter.

These CCL Community Guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of CCL Community. Like CCL, CCL Community strives to be a respect-based, welcoming place for everyone who wishes to work on climate solutions, regardless of their political ideology.

On CCL Community you can:

  • Find and organize with local people interested in solving climate change
  • See a schedule of upcoming events
  • Access trainings, talking points, marketing materials, and other resources to help you and your local group
  • Discuss the latest topics about pricing carbon, reducing emissions, and bipartisan climate action
  • Organize around shared interests, knowledge, or expertise as part of an Action Team.
  • Read and comment on resources provided by CCL and your local chapter or Action Team
  • Share best practices, ask questions and learn from others in the forums.

Getting Started!

  • CCL Community thrives on its members and members’ participation
  • Stay involved, make comments, add files and pictures, and seek new friends
  • Invite your friends and chapter members, the more the merrier!
  • Post only information that you are comfortable with others seeing — and knowing — about you.
  • These guidelines are designed to help make participation for everyone a positive experience.

Netiquette

How you talk to others on CCL Community is not that different from the way you would talk to others in real life. But there are some things you should be mindful of in an online environment:
  • Stick to posts that align with CCL's Core Values.
  • Don't use offensive language, be rude (i.e. posting in all caps is the same as SHOUTING), use hate speech, or harass or spam other members
  • Many CCL Community members subscribe to many forums. Be sure to limit your usage of any forum posting to honor minimizing the number of notifications sent to members daily.
  • No selling, solicitation, advertisement, or promotion of products or services is permitted on CCL Community.

If there is an issue you’d like to report, flag the content or action, send a message to us using the help icon at the bottom of this or any CCL Community page. Please note that while Citizens’ Climate Education / Citizens’ Climate Lobby has no obligation to delete content that you find personally objectionable or offensive, we will do our best to address any problems that may arise.

That’s it! Thanks for joining CCL Community and we look forward to solving climate change with you.
