Marquette CCL
We are the Marquette chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby. We work hard at the local level to generate the political will for a price on carbon emissions at the national level. We do grassroots outreach with tabling and movie screenings, write letters to the editor, meet with our members of Congress, and engage with community leaders. We are building support for the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, a bipartisan and effective piece of legislation that is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% within 12 years. It puts a steadily rising price on greenhouse gas emissions and returns that fee back to American citizens in the form of a monthly dividend. We need everyone's voice to make sure we take this important step forward in our fight against climate change.
