The Search For CCL’s Next Executive Director

Average Rating:

We are delighted to announce that the boards of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Citizens’ Climate Education have jointly initiated a global search for our next Executive Director. We have formed a board search committee and engaged an international executive search firm who will reach out to a diverse group of candidates and help us find the right person to lead CCL and CCE into the next stage of their work.

Mark Reynolds will continue to serve as Interim Executive Director through mid-2024. The boards express our heartfelt gratitude to Mark for facilitating a smooth transition, and to our staff and volunteers for their dedication during this period. Even while the search is ongoing, we continue to build momentum for key policies like the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act and clean energy permitting reform.

In the face of the ever more visible impacts of climate change, the work we do together has become increasingly essential. CCL has a critical role to play, as a nonprofit nonpartisan grassroots organization of nearly 220,000 volunteers in over 390 chapters, advocating for effective policies to address climate change.

We are excited and optimistic about this next chapter, and invite our community to support this vital process. We will soon be circulating a comprehensive job description and inviting applications. Please look out for this and invite any candidates you may know to apply.

Warm regards,

Zaurie Zimmerman, Board Chair, Citizens’ Climate Lobby

Sandra Kirtland Turner, Board Chair, Citizens’ Climate Education

Mark Reynolds, Interim Executive Director
