Yesterday, CCLers were issued a major Giving Tuesday challenge. If we raised $250,000 in donations, we could unlock an additional $250,000 gift from a group of our generous Climate Guardian donors. We officially hit that milestone goal around 11:30 p.m. ET last night, unlocking the matching gift!

Our next challenge? Reaching our year-end goal of $1.25 million to fund Earth's lobby team in 2026.

Your grassroots donations help equip and coordinate citizen lobbyists to shape climate action in Congress. In 2025 alone, those citizen lobbyists helped:

✅ Secure strong bipartisan votes for the Fix Our Forests Act in the House of Representatives and the Senate Agriculture Committee.

✅ Improve the climate outcomes in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The bill rolled back effective climate provisions, but our advocacy helped prevent the worst cuts.

➡️ Advance a robust bipartisan conversation on energy permitting reform.

Make a tax-deductible, year-end donation today. Then, share CCL's work with your network and encourage others to give, too.

If you have a little time: Share our year-end fundraiser video on social media. What will it take for Congress to act on climate? People like you! In this new video, CCL's Senior Development Officer Rebecca Utech, explains Citizens' Climate's nonpartisan, grassroots work and invites people to support our work. Watch the video and share it with your friends on Facebook or Instagram now.

If you have more time: Attend CCL’s Town Hall tonight. This Town Hall-style event kicks off tonight 8 p.m. ET. All are welcome, especially CCL supporters just starting their CCL journey or finding their role. Hear organizational updates and come ready to ask questions during the call. If you can't make it, catch the recording afterward.

Featured Team: Skiing for Climate Action

To support our biggest annual fundraiser, CCLers have set up creative Pledge It campaigns. At the top of the leaderboard so far is the "Skiing for Climate Action" team, made up of members using their passion for outdoor winter activities to raise money for Citizens' Climate.

"Throughout the month of December we'll be putting our ski training to good use to raise money for climate action," the team's page says. "Some of us are gearing up for big races like the American Birkebeiner, others are going to get out on the trails for fun. Overall, we're aiming to help support CCL's annual Year End Fundraiser campaign to help support our collective nonpartisan bridge-building climate advocacy."

It's not too late to use your hobby for good! Visit the Citizens' Climate Pledge It home page to find pledge-a-thons to support, or follow these instructions to set up your own. Every dollar contributes to Citizens' Climate's total year-end goal of $1.25 million.

Pledge to the Skiing for Climate Action group page here, or click and explore each of the team members to support their individual goals.

Correction from Nov. 26 Weekly Briefing: The young people featured in the lobby meeting video were part of the Washington State youth team, which is mentored by Gwen Hanson of CCL's Bellevue chapter. Most of the featured students are part of the Bellevue chapter, not Seattle or Bainbridge Island. Apologies from the editor.
