Dear Editor-
I applaud David Goodwin for his essay on climate change facts in the open forum. It feels odd to live in a time when climate change's consequences are increasingly obvious, yet when a sizeable minority of our citizens seem to desire the end of clean energy and a return to air pollution.
There are voices in Congress now calling for eliminating the federal clean energy tax credits that have created many good paying jobs in Republican districts over the past few years. There is no reason for us to support this repeal movement. It would, however, make sense for China to support repeal. China would prefer to have no competition for its solar panel and EV manufacturing so that it can rule the world economy for the rest of this century.
