Hi folks,
Please join us at 5 pm PT/ 8 pm ET tonight (Wednesday, April 9) for an LTE writing Zoom party 🎉
Tonight, we will be taking action to submit a flood of LTEs across the country to defend the clean energy tax credits of the IRA.
As you likely know, these tax credits could be on the chopping block in Republicans’ budget reconciliation bill. Yet the credits are driving jobs, investment and pollution cuts across the country. They should remain in place!
During the session, you will learn the "LTE formula" and how to identify opportunities in your local newspaper. And you'll spend 20 minutes of focused time writing your LTE during the call. Letters to the editor average about 150-250 words.
Why write an LTE?
Members of Congress and their staff pay attention to local media — especially when it mentions them.
