Wisconsin CCL's Giant Work Party

Wisconsin's CCL chapter leaders have identified two incredibly important statewide projects. With your help this year, we plan to achieve the following results in 2024:

1) Get environmental voters all over Wisconsin to the polls for this year's elections. With the recent WI Supreme Court ruling requiring redistricting, interest in the elections will be higher than usual.
2) Help our local communities make use of Inflation Reduction Act funding opportunities by Building Electrification and Efficiency (BEE).

At this event, we'll gather in person to discuss and plan for our objectives, have a bring-your-own lunch together, and work in teams:

• Postcarding - pull together materials and plan out logistics
• Phone Banking - learn to run a phone bank, organize phonebanking parties
• Courageous Voting Conversations - train and organize CCLers to set goals for talking to people in their circles about being a climate/environmental voter, gaining their commitment to vote, and reminding them before the election
• Social Media - organize our social media users to encourage voting
• Media/LTEs/Op-eds - support CCLers to write letters to editors and op-eds that encourage voting
• Voting Logistics - gather and share resources on Wisconsin voter registration, early voting, mail voting, etc., so we all have it handy, and keep up with any changes taking place
• Building Electrification and Efficiency (BEE) - help get the IRA money spent in your communities
