Join Communications and Media Manager Charlotte Ward for a productive hour learning how to write an effective letter to the editor (LTE) on Wednesday, December 11, at 5 pm PT/ 8 pm ET.
Why write an LTE? Members of Congress and their staff pay attention to local media — especially when it mentions them! LTEs published in the local press highlight the effective climate solutions our lawmakers can implement and convey the action constituents wish to see. They can also be written and published quickly.
During the session, you will learn the "LTE formula" and how to identify opportunities in your local newspaper. And you'll spend 20 minutes of focused time writing your LTE during the call. Letters to the editor average about 150-250 words.
