Description:
PA Susquehanna Valley Chapter
Since redistricting in 2022, our chapter is part of a very large region that constitutes PA District 15. This district stretches from Perry County in the south to the New York border. It is currently represented by Rep. Glenn (GT) Thompson. The State College chapter of CCL is also in GT's district and has been for many years.
Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday each month at 5:30 p.m, both in person at the Gelnett Library in Selinsgrove and via zoom. We keep meetings well under 2 hours as we celebrate CCL successes and strategize on building support for climate action on the federal and local levels. We currently have the following initiatives:
*Joy to the Earth on the Saturday or Sunday nearest Earth Day, has grown and diversified every year since its inception in 2022. It is a fun family-centered celebration that provides outreach and education to the community
*Local Climate Action Plan (LCAP) with a Borough council-authorized Task Force in Selinsgrove, PA.
*Green happy hour, trainings, electrification education on IRA benefits with modified dollhouse
Contact the Chapter Leader Kay Cramer, at falconrider1@ymail.com, for the zoom link. We look forward to having you join us!
