We’re thrilled to announce that CCE is receiving a $50k grant from Rick Steves’ Europe. The grant is part of their “Climate Smart Commitment.”

“By supporting these organizations with a ‘self-imposed carbon tax’ totaling $1 million, our goal is to help mitigate the carbon emissions of the 30,000 people we took on Rick Steves tours in 2019 as we work to make our business climate smart,” the organization explained in a statement

Rick Steves’ Europe is supporting organizations that fit its particular criteria of: 1) advocating in Congress for policies to fight climate change and/or 2) helping farming communities in the developing world. Rick Steves’ Europe says, "Our donation will strengthen their nationwide coalition of climate advocates and create a powerful counterweight to paid lobbyists advocating for the fossil fuel industry.”

We’re excited and grateful to receive this grant! Head to Twitter to like or share our tweet of the news and thank Rick Steves’ Europe for their support of our climate work.
