In general, my MOCs prefer to keep existing electricity producers in place (no matter what they are) while adding new power to the grid to grow our supply. Using the word “transition” will likely not go over well in the title of the Primary Ask “Support the Clean Energy Transition for Affordable and Reliable Power.”
For example, retiring of coal plants is off the table for them at this time. And, just fyi, it is even hard to use “clean” energy as they've called it “alternative” energy and “low carbon” energy. But I will leave that :)
I'm thinking of making an updated Primary Ask document with the title changed to “Support Clean Energy for Affordable and Reliable Power” while keeping everything else the same.
Let me know if this is not advised. Thanks so much!
Robin
@Robin Paone I like that better too. “Support Clean Energy and AFfordable Reliable Power”. Had already put it in my letter. And I agree about using language that triggers whatever legislators think about transmission and ‘reform’.
What i don't understand is the secondary ask about SUPPORT for FOFA to the HOR? That's a done deal and a different conversation if it comes back from the Senate when they pass it. And then bringing that to a sentor seems weird to me. Trying to find more info on this reasoning, but I find it very difficult to find ANYTHING I need on community. Thanks for you clear thoughts.
I ended up with “Support Clean energy for Affordable, Reliable Power, and to Keep our Technical Edge” ccl-2025-lobby-day---primary-ask-sheets-r - updated.pdf
It's a long title but I used dark red on some of the lettering.
