FOFA concerns resource that can be shared with staffers
In a meeting this week with an office that's a strong Fix Our Forests Act supporter, we talked about messages to combat misinformation and concerns about the bill, particularly from environmental groups. The staffer in the meeting asked if we could share some of that messaging, to help in their conversations with these groups and other offices who share those concerns. Do we have a good resource to share?
The first place I looked was cclusa.org/FOFAconcerns which has a lot of talking points I think would be helpful to share. However, that says “This handout is for CCL volunteers” at the top, so I want to check if it's appropriate to share directly. If not, is it okay to copy most of the content of the first part of the document (about concerns, not the part about Senate vs. House differences) with an office that's championing FOFA?
(I suspect @Mindy Ahler may know the answer.)
Hi @Trevor Stone. We've internally been talking about tweaking the document so that it could potentially be shared with offices, but for now it's fine to share some responses from the doc to individual concerns that your MOC's office might have (i.e. copy some of the responses rather than sharing the whole doc).
