Hi folks,
The Senate has passed its version of the budget reconciliation bill and it is on its way back to the House.
The finalized text removed a last-minute tax on future wind and solar projects, that had been added over the weekend. However, Republicans in the House are threatening to put the wind and solar tax back into the bill and make things even worse for clean energy progress.
Either way, the legislation as it stands phases out America's clean energy tax credits, putting the U.S. on course for significant economic damage including lost jobs, lost GDP, and higher consumer costs (Energy Innovation Policy & Technology).
LTEs can be written and published quickly in our local newspapers. If your House representative is Republican, urge them to vote "no" unless the tax credits are protected, in an LTE.
If your MOC is Democratic, name Republican representatives in your state and urge them to vote “no.” This Congressional districts map will help you identify that information.
Thanks for all you do,
Charlotte
