Electrification Doll House

I want share this completely brilliant concept that @Elizabeth Strum came up with for tabling season this year, an all electric dollhouse that demonstrates all the rebates you can get with the IRA. She brought this to our north east regional conference, and it was such a hit with everyone there.

@Sean Dague  Agree, it's brilliant!  I've been trying to find a dollhouse ever since I saw her original post!

@Lisa Ruckman I'm delighted you like the dollhouse idea.  The house is a kit from a company called Real Good Toys, and took me two full days to put together without some of the miniature trimming. It's the yellow house on this page if you're interested:

The tags were based on IRA tax credits and rebates listed on the RewiringAmerica.org calculator.

@Elizabeth Strum - Your dollhouse is so awesome, Beth!   I think if a tabling team is on a budget maybe they could find a used dollhouse through freecycle or other community forums.

As a follow on for the Electrification Dollhouse, as we're trying to make an additional one for the chapter I've been doing 3D modeling for the appliances which you can print out on a 3D printer (I have a friend with one that is printing for me).

Those models are available on Tinker Cad -

They've come out pretty well thus far

@Sean Dague and @Elizabeth Strum, this is awesome! My mother in law has been into miniatures for years, and she's made some really intricate ones – I'll have to grab one that she wouldn't mind me taking out to a public event where it might get bumped around. Also, both my son and son-in-law are 3D printing geeks, so I'll be visiting Sean's tinkering library.

@Elizabeth Strum  Love the doll house!  We have one under construction for some Saturday tabling.  Do you happen to have the text handy that you used on your tags in a google doc or the like?   We can pull it off of rewiring america, but it you already have it handy . . .   Thanks for all the good work that you do!   ELIZABETH - I JUST FOUND THIS CREATE PIECE, SO PLEASE DISREGARD MY REQUEST.

@Sean Dague I know I am late to the game but can you give advice on how I find your miniatures.  The house idea is amazing.

Here's a deck with lots of tabling resources, including the several electric dollhouses we know about. (If anyone has one not shown here, post a note in this thread or drop us an email so we can add yours!)

@Lisa Ruckman
I updated my post to show a recent photo of our dollhouse. We really get more people to talk to us when we ask passersby what they have already done or are thinking of doing to lower their energy use in their homes. People love to share what they have done!
