Greetings environmentalists!
I wanted to help get the word out about a resilience series called: “Resilient Climateering Through Unexpected Climate Connections”. This series analyses two seemingly unrelated concepts and connects them in a way that enhances your climate resilience, all under a few minutes!

The first Topic is all about Climateering. As talked about in Episode 84 of CCL's climate change podcast, a Climateer is the combination of a Mouseketeer and a climate activist. Addressing climate work in a somewhat playful way serves as an excellent way of staying resilient in your climate work. I am curious about what you all do, or what you keep in mind to stay resilient when fighting such an intimidating topic?

Powerful Possibilities of Joy and Climate (youtube.com)
The second topic is all about joy, and my favorite part involved rethinking the definition of joy. Thinking about joy not as a reward for when good things happen, but rather as a multi-tool that can be used in a variety of circumstances, allows making climate work a little easier even in unsettling circumstances. As shared in my last post, I love to listen to music when I am doing everything because it is a source of joy that I can use to enhance most situations I find myself in. What are your sources of joy?

Burpees and Climate: Two Unexpected Climate Connections (youtube.com)
The most recent video, just posted a few days ago, is all about burpees. Yes, you did hear that right, burpees. To me, exercise is the most important thing in my life. It keeps me busy, gives me a challenge, keeps me happy, keeps my brain healthy, and keeps my body healthy- all of which also fuels my climate activism. Moreover, I feel a lot of the same things in the heat of climate work, which is a big distinction made in the video!
Keep an eye out for the next video in the series: Space and Climate on the CCL Resilience - YouTube. No, not outer space, but rather space as in physical distance. You’ll have to wait and see how these two concepts are connected, but maybe you could comment below how you think they will be?
