Hello everyone! I’m happy to share that the newest installment of the “Resilient Climateering” video series is ready for viewing on the CCL Resilience YouTube channel. Click here to watch “Banjos and Climate”, a video that explores how both climate action and learning the banjo take perseverance and resilience, skills that can help us sustain our work as climate advocates.
Working on this video gave me a new perspective on the value of building my personal resilience and how inspiration to do so can come from unexpected places! I appreciate how this video uses climate action and music (two things I love) as themes through which to explore how when we engage in any new or difficult task, our progress can be hindered by challenges like self-doubt, perfectionism, or feelings of futility. However, these challenges can be overcome; that’s why resilience is so important! Banjos and Climate illustrates a very creative approach to resilience-building and highlights the importance of staying strong through seemingly insurmountable challenges – a skill that is of paramount importance for climate advocacy and beyond.
Thank you to the team that helped bring this video to life: @Tamara Staton, @Amber Powell, and @Peterson Toscano!
Feel free to share the video with anyone who could benefit from an innovative and uplifting take on staying resilient, even when facing the emotional and physical roadblocks that can arise for climate advocates. Please check it out and let us know what you think!
