This is a great video about what’s possible today in green and sustainable building. This project is underway in Mt. Vernon, the county seat of Skagit County, where they are making a major investment in building a new library and community commons. They are taking advantage of being strategically located mid-way between Seattle and Vancouver, BC to build a major EV charging station that will attract people to the “old downtown” shopping and restaurants. The complex will be the first public building in Washington State to qualify as a “Passive Home” building. If you have potential building projects in your communities this video may inspire some thoughts on pushing for decarbonizing as your communities move forward with new building projects. I am very impressed with the forward thinking of this project.
