We’re just a few days away from April, which is Earth Month — that means there will be an uptick in people’s attention on climate and environmental issues. It’s our time to shine 😎

We’ll be using Earth Month to inform and inspire more people to take action to protect America’s clean energy tax credits. One way we’re doing that is by tabling at local events around the country and gathering letters to Congress from folks in our communities.

To help you, we just rolled out a brand new “Tabling Toolkit.” It’s a one-stop stop with all of the resources and training you need, including:

  • A step-by-step guide to planning a tabling event

  • Materials, tips and talking points to make your tabling a success

  • New handouts and updated activities for Earth Month 2025

Ricky Bradley, CCL’s Vice President of Field Operations, held a training on Thursday to review tabling best practices and explain how these updated materials fit into your Earth Day outreach efforts.

Between that training and the new Tabling Toolkit, you have everything you need to make your conversations during Earth Month timely, impactful, and inspiring.

In other news this week

CCL in NYT: In case you missed it, the New York Times published an article about the growing push from some Republican lawmakers, energy companies and advocacy groups to preserve America’s clean energy tax credits. CCL’s recent lobbying on Capitol Hill is mentioned in the story! Check it out and share it around.

Take action this week

1e5506720cd72a1d5d44c4f2329a62a9-huge-caIf you have a little time: Call Republicans in Congress about clean energy tax credits. America’s clean energy tax credits could be on the chopping block in Republicans’ budget reconciliation bill. The House Ways and Means Committee is working on this right now, and they’re trying to make progress before Congress goes on recess in about three weeks. That means the next three weeks are a critical time to make these calls and emphasize to Republicans that the clean energy tax credits should stay in place. Find a calling tool and script here. So far CCLers have made 851 calls — let’s run up that number!

If you have more time: Set up a monthly donation to support CCL’s work. With just a few days left in March, CCLers have given $9,843 in new or increased monthly donations to support CCL’s climate work. Thank you! And big news: We’re so close to our original fundraising goal that our angel donor has now agreed to extend the $4-to-$1 gift match up to $11,000! This is your LAST CHANCE to 5X the impact of your monthly donation for March, April, and May. Give today to stretch toward this new goal and make sure your gift goes as far as possible.
