Community Release - Search Improvements

Average Rating:
Community’s Search feature has been updated! We added a lightning fast, powerful and highly customizable search program to replace the out of the box search software. We’ve improved the user interface and made it much easier for users to find the most relevant content.

What's a release?

Simply put, a release is a package of software updates consisting of new features and bug fixes that are ready to deploy. On CCL Community, we release updates every other week, but given the importance and priority of improving search we wanted to send a special release update.

Searching Community

Start trying it out by typing in the keyword(s) for what you’re looking into the search bar on the right side of the menu toolbar (shown in green above) or simply click the blue magnifying glass icon. You will be directed to the search results page.

Benefits:

  • Searches almost all pages of Community and displays them together in one results page (resources, training, groups, tools, forms, and bulletins).
  • Prioritizes the most important pages up top to help you locate what matters most

Notes:

  • The main search page doesn’t search through individual community usernames or the forums in its results. If you're looking for a member, search the member directory. If you're looking for sitewide forums or discussion posts, search the forums
  • If you search using a keyword to find something and it doesn’t turn up in the results, let us know in the Bug Reports forum.
