Hi folks! Here's a cool update from the CCL's research team.
This week, CCL's research team, primarily Jonathan Marshall, wrote and submitted testimony to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee related to their hearing titled, “Promoting American Energy Security by Facilitating Investments and Innovation in Climate Solutions.”
The testimony argues that “for the sake of America’s energy security, among other reasons, strong federal policy is urgently needed to accelerate our transition away from fossil fuels toward efficient use of renewable and other alternative energy sources.”
And of course, the testimony makes one thing very clear: “The single most effective policy, advocated by legions of economists, energy experts, and climate scientists, would be a steadily rising fee on the carbon content of climate-polluting fossil fuels.”

As you continue to lobby your members of Congress and build political will in your district and state, remember that CCL's legislative and research staffers are reinforcing your message at every opportunity. Keep up the great work!
