Carbon Pricing Education Series Session 2: Affordability and distributional impacts

Join CCL for a learning series exploring what a decade of real-world carbon pricing can teach us—and how that knowledge shapes stronger, more durable climate advocacy. Join us October 1st for the second session of the series.

A central consideration for policymakers today is affordability. On the surface, this is a problem for carbon pricing, because the whole point is to change behavior through higher prices on pollution. However, carbon prices also raise a lot of money, and how policymakers use that money can have a big impact on affordability. This webinar will cover some recent research from RFF on the carbon pricing/affordability nexus, including research that shows how carbon price revenues can actually improve affordability.
