Our paper just put in place a new Solutions/Editorial Board. I'd like to request a meeting with them to share the new editorial packet. Is it worthwhile or considered bad form to reach out to individual members of the board prior to the meeting? I've done some online research, so have some understanding of each members' professional experience and likely viewpoint.
Thanks!

Hello Michelle,
My first thought is to ask how well you know those individual board members. If you aren't already acquainted, and your research has given you an understanding of their experience and viewpoint(s), I would wait until after your group meeting.
This would give you the opportunity to follow up with responses to their individual questions during the group session. This might provide a deeper explanation of our goals and indicate your desire to persuade their actions.
Thanks.Â

Our chapter is planning a second editorial board meeting and would like to know what other asks we should include in addition to carbon pricing.

Hi, Norma,
Thanks for the question. Are you meeting with the Elizabethton Star? Also, have you downloaded our latest editorial packet? The editorial we're hoping to generate is a little broader than our usual ask: Congress must pass climate legislation in the reconciliation bill and include a price on carbon. I'd be happy to give you a call to discuss if you like.
Best,
Steve
