Want to ask your questions about climate science to a real live practicing climate scientist?

Join Dr. Sandra Kirtland Turner, Assistant Professor of Paleoclimate at UC - Riverside and CCE Board Member, for a deeper discussion about best practices in communicating the science of climate change.

Dr. Kirtland Turner will also review:

  • Understanding the natural carbon cycle as well as the basic concepts behind climate change
  • The importance behind the scientific method and peer review process
  • How to take action to find out more information and connect with climate scientists local to your group

Core Volunteer Training is a series specifically created to support you in becoming more active with CCL and answering any questions you might have across a wide range of topics.

RSVP as "Attending" to trainings you want to receive updates for or subscribe to CCL's once-a-week training reminders via email or text.

CCL offers two ongoing training series online via Zoom conference (instructions for how to log-on): Citizens' Climate University for existing volunteers on Thursday evenings and Core Volunteer Training for new volunteers on Tuesday evenings.

Post your questions in advance to the Event Comments section below and to learn more about our schedule and see archived trainings, visit Community’s Core Volunteer Training Topic page where the updated recording will be archived after the training.
