Project Manager - Elders Promote the Vote (EPTV)

We are in search of a quarter-time Elders Promote the Vote Project Manager responsible for coordinating, managing and implementing ECA’s priorities for the Elders Promote the Vote partnership project with the Environmental Voter Project (EVP) and ECA’s sister project Elders for Sound Democracy. This includes performance measures, deliverable outcomes, assessment and reporting. The Project Manager will interface with elders throughout the country via Zoom and host a weekly phone bank session. This position will be responsible for regular communications with our project partners including EVP and ECA audiences and leadership, managing constituent/donor records, hosting Zoom based programming, coordinating special projects including a postcarding to voters project, working with ECA committees to accomplish the projects goals, assisting with social media and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the director.

Starting ASAP through Nov 30, 2024, 1099 contract $10,400 - $20 per hour, 520 hours

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with representatives from EVP, ECA and other collaborators
  • Work with project partners to establish, maintain, and communicate priorities and objectives of the project to the larger ECA community
  • Coordinates and facilitates continued activity planning, management, and evaluation
  • Create effective programming, communication, events and action to ensure project remains congruent with overall ECA activities
    • Host weekly phone bank sessions with EVP
    • Host postcard sessions
    • Maintain regular communication about project to participants
    • Works with ECA Director to build strategy for project integration into ECA’s work
    • Works in conjunction with ECA Director, Communications, Education, Policy Committees and Council of Chapters
  • Maintains project calendar 
  • Coordinates required project meetings
  • Facilitates communications among all project stakeholders (e.g. ECA leadership, ECA community, EPTV project participants and external partners)
  • Communicates progress of project activities to internal and external audiences
  • Serves on internal and external committees as appropriate and as decided with the director
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrated skills in managing and working with external and internal personnel, including volunteers in a virtual-team environment.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • A strong commitment to the mission of Elders Climate Action.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills in handling and directing multiple and complex assignments and projects.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely according to established schedules and to complete assignments and projects, as per defined timelines.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Preference given to those with experience working with older generations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and extensive confidential data.
  • Proficient in use of social media or willingness to learn
  • Proficient in the use of email, Google Suite for word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others. Experience with EveryAction CRM, Action Network and Wordpress are plus!

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education and experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience managing projects in an educational, non-profit or corporate setting, preference given to climate, campaign, community organizing or advocacy related experience.

This opens a text box. Add your reply. You can also add documents by dragging a file into the text box. Click “Post” at the bottom of the reply window This will add your reply to other replies (if there are any), sorted by oldest on top. 

If, however, you want to reply directly to someone else’s reply, click on the “Reply” link at the bottom of their reply. 

When replying to a topic post or a topic reply it may be helpful to quote the original text, or the part that your reply is referring to. To quote a topic or reply, click on the "Quote" link at bottom of post. 

When you do this the full text of either the post or reply will be pulled into a reply text box. If desired, you can remove parts of the quoted text in order to get the portion you are interested in quoting.
