That's very interesting, @John Porterfield. I've heard of the ‘warming hole’ in the southeastern USA, but hadn't thought of reforestation as a possible contributing factor. It makes sense! And it suggests that we should accelerate those reforestation efforts. It's also consistent with CCL's comments to the USDA that more climate-smart agriculture funds should go to reforestation efforts, especially on pasture land in the southeast that used to be forested 🌲🤓
