Hi,
I'm an SC in WA and our Snohomish chapter is spearheading a deep dive into permitting reform. We have a question about what coalitions or groups are already working in this area that we can partner with? @Tony Sirna  I'm assuming this would be your area of expertise at the national level (although we are also interested in state and regional). So many groups are pushing electrification, but permitting reform, a necessary ingredient, is lagging. CCL seems to be ahead of the curve in recognizing this, so thanks for any info folks can provide on groups that are specifically working on permitting reform, especially in the Pacific NW.
Thanks,
Ellie G.
Hi @Ellie Gittelman. I think CCL is the only climate advocacy group that's working on permitting reform. There are other organizations like the Bipartisan Policy Center that our DC staff are collaborating with, but they're more of a think tank.
Hi @Ellie Gittelman - Right now I don't have any specific local coalition partners to recommend. I reached out to Ben in our DC office and he is going to check with some of our national partners to see how they are engaging at the local and state level. I'll let you know what I find.
