A recent study reports that electrical transmission capacity could be massively expanded with the simple trick of replacing existing wires on existing towers & right of ways with higher capacity wires - possibly doubling capacity. Â This conceivably bypasses all kinds of permitting processes and issues. Â What permitting reform legislation can CCL advocate to help take advantage of this tactic?
