We had a question tonight in the Electrification meeting. Is anyone looking at improving permitting reform at the state-level ?
If so, beyond replying below we recommend that one of your chapter members attend the monthly State Policy or Strategic Planning Action Team calls (click the links to join and see their upcoming schedule).

Hi Lisa,
Within the state of Washington state we have a Permit Reform working group that is looking into this.
The Pacific Northwest is in particular need of permit reform along with energy source and transmission line planning and implementation coordination and management as we do not have a TSO (Transmission System Operator) to oversee our grid. We are what is known as a balkanized system.
Our group meets every Monday at 5 and has numerous members with extensive permitting experience.
