Tweeting your Senators and Representative helps create the political will needed to solve global warming by demonstrating constituent concern. Tweet to your members of Congress to amplify our voices and help move Congress closer to enacting strong climate solutions like the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.

Getting started
If you have never tweeted before, get a free Twitter account at twitter.com/signup and watch these two short CCL training videos on how to post your first tweet.
Then you can either
- Use CCL’s easy online tool cclusa.org/tweet to tweet. The tool makes it easy to tweet your Representative and Senators and includes template tweets that you can edit and post. Or,
- Use the twitter app on your phone or tweet from twitter.com on your laptop so that you can attach a photo of yourself, your chapter or your lobby team. Below are template tweets for you to edit and post:

.@congress-member-twitter-handle @citizensclimate volunteers from your district will be in DC to talk with you about the Energy Innovation Act, H.R. 5744. We would love to see you support this legislation to put a #PriceOnPollution! #GrassrootsClimate
Get more people to tweet
- Sign up for CCL text alerts at cclusa.org/text. When you get notified of being added send the message "Tweet" back and you'll be sent our Tweet Congress tool to use on your smart phone!
- Tweet, message, and email your network and ask them to tweet Congress too.
- Post a message in the Forum of your Chapter’s group on CCL Community so that everyone can see how and when to tweet.
