Getting started
If you have never tweeted before, get a free Twitter account at twitter.com/signup and watch these two short CCL training videos on how to post your first tweet.
Then you can either
- Use CCL’s easy online tool cclusa.org/tweet to tweet. The tool makes it easy to tweet your Representative and Senators and includes template tweets that you can edit and post. Or,
- Use the twitter app on your phone or tweet from twitter.com on your laptop so that you can attach a photo of yourself, your chapter or your lobby team. Below are template tweets for you to edit and post:

Get more people to tweet
- Invite people to signup for CCL text alerts at cclusa.org/text. When they get notified of being added have them send the message "Tweet" back and they'll be sent our Tweet Congress tool to use on their smart phone!
- Tweet, message, and email your network and ask them to tweet Congress too.
- Post a message in the Forum of your Chapter’s group on Community so that everyone can see how and when to tweet.
